Feel Better, Live Your Best Life
Choosing a therapist is a big decision. Your mental health is a foundation that supports all other areas of your life. Psychotherapy can help you reduce your emotional suffering, better understand yourself, improve your relationships, and become a happier and more relaxed person. This starts with a trusting relationship and a safe space where you can explore problematic patterns, develop emotional tools and skills, and become more fully the person you truly are.
Beth Cavaliere, LCPC
Beth Cavaliere is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience working with individuals and couples, in person and by phone, in a psychodynamic approach. Her orientation includes attachment theory, schema therapy, psychoanalysis, emotionally focused therapy, and mindfulness. Beth integrates the valuable tools gained from cognitive behavioral therapy with the insights, ego strength, and emotional maturity gained from psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Her educational background is in the classics, humanities, psychology, and anthropology. She earned an M.A. in counseling from the University of Montana in 2003, and she has studied for seventeen years with the Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies. Beth is a strong proponent of therapy by phone, and has always worked by phone in her own therapy with psychoanalytic therapists.
Psychotherapy by telephone offers a space where clients can feel more free to say everything, which is the essence of successful talk therapy. It supports an inward-oriented, self-reflective process while preserving the physical nature and human connection of the voice. Phone therapy provides the advantages of a private, relaxed location and comfortable position for therapy, without the distraction and time loss of the social conventions that naturally occur as part of an office visit. Because it is convenient and eliminates travel time, therapy by phone tends to be more consistent, which leads to faster progress. It is ideal for people who have difficulty getting to therapy sessions because of location, lack of transportation, physical disability, or other limitations.
